ESPN is reporting that UConn and Syracuse are closing on a deal to play a home-and-home football series. The Orange would come to Rentschler Field in 2016 and the Huskies would travel to Syracuse in 2018, according to ESPN college football reporter Brett McMurphy said.
The two teams last played in 2012, a game won by the Orange, 40-10.
