LOS ANGELES – Tahaan Goodman emerged from his room on Halloween night with an armful of clothes and laid each piece down on the brown couch one by one. A pair of distressed jeans, denim overalls with elastic cuffs at the bottom, a tan suede jacket. Each piece, nearly a dozen in all, is one of a kind, much like the UCLA safety who made them.
Since high school, Goodman has designed, tailored and made his own clothes. Very few things escape the needle of his Brother sewing machine. Even his team-issued sweatpants are subject to alterations because for the fashion forward senior, it’s the details that allow his unique style to flourish.
