UCLA nose tackle Kenny Clark expands his repertoire

LOS ANGELES – Several labels described Kenny Clark before this season.

He was called a cog on UCLA’s defensive line and a key to stopping the run.

Coach Jim Mora called him an unsung hero in training camp, referring to a player who was unlikely to put up gaudy statistics but was as important as any to the unit’s success.

Now, add pass rusher.

Through 10 games, the junior nose tackle has five sacks, tied with outside linebacker Aaron Wallace for the team lead.

“Obviously, if you’re going to get that many sacks at the nose, you have to have relentless effort,” UCLA defensive coordinator Tom Bradley said.
