UCLA Football & Hoops Teams Could Face Postseason Ban For Low APR Scores

The NCAA has released the yearly APR report and the results for UCLA’s two major sports programs are, in a word, alarming.

As Pac-12 reporter-extraordinaire Jon Wilner wrote about in the San Jose Mercury News, UCLA currently possesses the worst APR scores in both football and men’s basketball. And, as Wilner notes, UCLA’s scores are getting close to the cut-off mark for postseason eligibility, which could be a disaster for both programs going forward. The official cut-off score for postseason eligibility is 930, and with football currently at 948 and with men’s basketball at 933, both programs now sit dangerously close to that line.
