Pope, Collins lead way as San Juan Hills knocks off Trabuco Hills

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO – Senior pitcher Bryan Pope was dominant on the mound as San Juan Hills beat Sea View League rival Trabuco Hills, 3-1, Tuesday at San Juan Hills High.

Pope pitched six innings and allowed just one run and two hits, and he struck out seven.

“We are real happy with his performance,” San Juan Hills coach Jeremey Wooten said of Pope. “He gives us a good chance every time he hits the mound.”

Kyle Rawlings led off the second inning with a single for San Juan Hills (11-8, 3-2).
