Keeping honor while avoiding war in Asia

President Donald Trump wants military commitments limited to those necessary to keep us safe and free. Whatever Trump may wish for, he has inherited a bad hand in South Korea. As a great nation, the United States must honor preexisting commitments to protect South Korea and Japan. Both are being levered by North Korea. The North Koreans are modern-day Vikings who use the threat of nuclear annihilation to collect blackmail without having to leave home. In the 1990s, President Bill Clinton foolishly gave North Korea $5 billion on the promise not to develop nuclear weapons. Instead, North Korea used that money to develop nuclear weapons.
