The UCF football team has come a long way since last season, but Saturday's painful 26-25 loss to Temple after leading for 59 of 60 minutes of the Knights' homecoming game proved there are still miles to travel and lessons to learn.
The latest lesson? Crush or be crushed.
"I think there might have been a little bit of a let-up when we were up 25-7. . . . I've been on teams when you get up like that and the chance is there to squash them. You finish it and it's over early," UCF coach Scott Frost said Monday.
