UCF football gets commitment from Notre Dame transfer Jordan Johnson

New UCF coach Gus Malzahn has landed another high-profile commitment from the transfer portal, this time from former Notre Dame receiver Jordan Johnson.

Johnson, who was a 5-star prospect and the No. 4-ranked wide receiver in the country coming out of DeSmet Jesuit High School in Saint Louis, announced his commitment to the Knights on social media Tuesday.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder signed with Notre Dame as part of its 2020 recruiting class after hauling in 29 receptions for 587 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior in high school. Last season, he appeared in two games for the Irish in a reserve role.
