Elite receiver Dredrick Snelson made sure Feb. 3 was a memorable day for both UCF coach Scott Frost and Maryland coach D.J. Durkin, who are scheduled to compete on the football field this Saturday.
Three baseball caps bearing the logos of UCF, Maryland and Penn State sat on a table as Snelson, then a senior at Pembroke Pines Flanagan High, kept at least 1,000 Periscope viewers waiting for his decision on National Signing Day.
Snelson was impressed with the pitches from both Frost and Durkin, energetic, young first-time head coaches looking to revitalize their programs.
