IRVING, Texas — As far as UCF is concerned, the Big 12 should just go ahead and change its name to the Big Tease.
After three days at the league's spring meetings in a swanky resort on the outskirts of Dallas, it became increasingly clear that the Big 12 has simply been toying with UCF and other expansion candidates and will soon shelve any immediate plans to increase league membership.
On the first day of the meetings, Texas athletics director Mike Perrin said: "I think the prudent thing for us to do as a conference is stay where we are.
