UAB Baseball could not catch up after trailing behind the Marshall University Thundering Herd at Young Memorial Field on Saturday, April 8. After being tied for two innings, Marshall scored a run in the tenth inning.
Marshall won the game when Matt Reed struck out sophomore left fielder Jared Nixon, ending the game with Marshall defeating the Blazers 2-1. The loss brought the Blazers’ overall record to 16-15 and their Conference USA record to 5-6. The Blazers and Thundering Herd will return to Young Memorial Field on Sunday, April 9 at 12:30.
