TULSA, Okla. –– Less than a month before the season opener on Sept. 1, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team will begin preseason practice this Friday, Aug. 3, with a morning workout on Harwell Field.
Players will report to camp on Thursday and go through an administrative day before taking the field a day later.
Tulsa will look to get back to the same form that sent the Hurricane to a 10-3 record and a Miami Beach Bowl Championship in 2016. Tulsa fielded an extremely young team in 2017, but gained valuable experience during an injury-riddled two-win season, a year that saw two games come down to a field goal as time expired and three more games settled by seven or less points in the final minutes.
