The Tulsa rowers advanced both the Lightweight 4+ and Lightweight 8+ boats to the Finals, which will be raced on Sunday, at the 2017 IRA National Championship Regatta at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
Lindsey Smith, Abigail Elggren, Lindsay Crute, Stephanie Call and Nichole Backus raced the Four to a seventh-place time of 7:42.00 in today's Heat to advance to tomorrow's Grand Final.
"The Four had a good, solid row today," Head Coach of Lightweight Rowing Rodney Mott said. "We were right there with Princeton and Harvard-Radcliffe so we are going to see if we can find another level of racing tomorrow.
