Three days after news broke of Tulane basketball coach Ed Conroy's departure, the university officially announced it was relieving Conroy of his coaching duties on Monday morning.
Conroy and the Green Wave finished the 2015-16 season 12-22 but defeated Houston in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference the day the news became public. Tulane ended its season Saturday with a 74-54 loss to Memphis.
In his six seasons with Tulane, Conroy finished 92-103 but only led Tulane to a winning record once - in 2012-13 when Tulane finished 20-15. He led the Green Wave to the Collegeinsider.
