After promising performances in its last two outings, the Tulane offense's momentum came to a screeching halt on Friday night as the team lost 24-14 to Memphis in an American Athletic Conference game at Yulman Stadium.

Both teams struggled to separate from each other in the first three quarters of the game, but Memphis kicker Jake Elliot gave his team control of the game with a 50-yard field that gave the Tigers a 16-7 advantage with 1:07 left in the third quarter.

Tulane's offense, which ended the day with 313 total yards, struggled to find a rhythm in the second half and the Tigers (5-1, 2-0 in AAC) finally put things away in the fourth.
