Tulane hoping to slow down 'multi-talented' UL-Lafayette RB Elijah McGuire

Tulane coach Willie Fritz is very familiar with University of Louisiana-Lafayette running back Elijah McGuire, despite never facing him in a game.

After making the move over to wide receiver during the fall, Tulane sophomore Devin Glenn will be moving back to running back to add some speed to a group that lost redshirt junior Sherman Badie to a groin injury.

Fritz coached two seasons in the Sun Belt at Georgia Southern in 2014 and 2015, but never played a conference game against UL-Lafayette in those two years. McGuire did, however, win the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year over Georgia Southern running back Matt Breida, which Fritz wasn't very happy about at the time.
