The powerful bat of Tulane junior Grant Brown along with the strong pitching of J.P. France led the Green Wave to a 4-3 win over Central Florida to even the American Athletic Conference series
"His [Brown's] performance is unbelievable," said Tulane's head coach Travis Jewett. "He gives us a physical presence at the plate, and he swings at the right pitches. That's the key to being a good hitter."
In the fourth inning, Brown hit a missile that many in the crowd and dug out thought was a grand slam. Instead, it counted as a double that scored Lex Kaplan and Grant Witherspoon to tie the game 2-2.
