Tulane and St. Aloysius basketball star Hal Cervini dead at 85

New Orleans high school basketball star Harold 'Hal' Cervini, who went on to a standout career for Tulane in the Southeastern Conference, died Tuesday evening. He was 85.

Cervini was a two-time second-team All-SEC pick in 1954 and '55 for Tulane, which inducted him into the school's Hall of Fame in 1982. He's also a member of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Hall of Fame.

He was considered one of the nation's top point guards and broke numerous records at Tulane, while leading his teams in scoring.
