Scout.com Southeast Analyst Chad Simmons has been evaluating prospects in the region for quite some time.
He made multiple trips to Louisiana this year, and has laid eyes on many of the state's top prospects. Evaluating prospects is not an exact science. Each analyst or scout has a different opinion than the next guy, which makes for some interesting conversations.
On Tuesday, Simmons announced that two 2017 Louisiana prospects made moves upward in the Scout 300, which is a list of the nation's top 300 prospects, all of whom are four- and five-star prospects. We caught up with Simmons following the announcement, and shared his thoughts on Amite's Devonta Smith and Landry Walker's Michael Lee, as well as the Louisiana class as a whole.
