TROY, Ala. – Leanna Johnson and Taylor McKinney swept the Sun Belt Weekly Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday. Johnson's Pitcher of the Week honor is her first of the season and 10th of her career, while McKinney becomes the first repeat Player of the Week in the Sun Belt this season.
Johnson, a senior from Brantley, Ala., took to the circle at the Troy Softball Complex for the final time this past weekend and left no doubt about her place in Troy Softball history.
