Alabama's Jalen Hurts and Auburn's Jarrett Stidham aren't the only in-state quarterbacks receiving preseason buzz.
Troy senior Brandon Silvers, a Gulf Shores grad entering his fourth season as the Trojans' starter, has been named to the preseason watch list for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Davey O'Brien Award, both of which were awards today.
The Davey O'Brien Watch List features 30 of the nation's top quarterbacks, and the list also includes Hurts and South Carolina's Jake Bentley, a sophomore from Opelika.
