Auburn, Ala. – The Troy women's soccer team picked up its first defeat of the season on Sunday night, as they lost 5-0 to in-state opponent Auburn at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
Troy (1-1-0), who opened their season with a 1-0 win against Lipscomb on Thursday, couldn't find the back of the net against the Tigers, as they registered only shots.
Auburn (1-0-1) went ahead in the 14 minute off a goal from Anna Haddock and never looked back. The Tigers added a second goal right before the first-half break, as Maddy Bondon snuck one past in the 45 minute.
