Coming off the program's first 10-win FBS season, coach Neal Brown joined me on The Opening Kickoff on WNSP-FM 105.5 on Monday to discuss the upcoming season as well as future scheduling.
The Trojans open at Boise State and play at LSU in non-conference action. In fact, Troy plays in-state foes Alabama State and South Alabama.
Would he want to play Alabama and Auburn?
"Without question, we'd love the opportunity to suit up and play Alabama or Auburn," Brown said. "We tried to initiate talks. Those talks haven't moved forward.
