Trojans Offense Explodes in 12-9 Win

NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the true spirit of Mardis Gras, the Trojans scored 12 runs in a hit parade to win the first game of the series with New Orleans (5-1).

Despite falling behind 6-2 after two innings, Troy (3-2) responded with an explosion of hits – sparked by a five-run third inning. Brody Binder continued adding to his power numbers with a three-run bomb. Matt Sanders scored three times and drove in two more in a 3-for-4 performance while, Joey Denison got three hits in five at-bats – and added a double and an RBI.
