TROY, Alabama – Troy senior forward Caitlyn Ramirez has been named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Ramirez averaged 19 points and 12.5 rebounds in Troy's two wins over the week; it was the second straight week she has averaged a double-double. The Shawnee, Okla., native scored 21 points to go along with 16 rebounds in a 65-54 win over Texas State on Thursday before posting 17 points and nine boards in a dominating 85-68 victory against a UT Arlington team that entered the contest No. 49 in the Rating Percentage Index (RPI).
