Stopper of the Year Watch List
TROY, Ala. – Troy senior pitcher Lance Johnson has been placed on the preseason Stopper of the Year watch list, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced Monday. The award, which is given annually to the best relief pitcher in NCAA Division I, includes 70 pitchers from around the country.
"Lance definitely deserves to be included on this watch list," head coach Mark Smartt said. "He begins his senior year with experience and maturity to handle any game situation he may encounter.
