TROY — There was a touch of sarcasm in Brandon Silvers’ voice, a sign of how much the Troy quarterback has grown from his debut against his close-to-home rival to today.
Where he was a youth so flummoxed when he faced South Alabama, now he’s a 23-year-old fourth-year starter a wee bit more accustomed to such rivalry pressure.
“This is just another rivalry game and I am trying to hold on until the game starts,” Silvers said. “We are just ready. It’s easy to go to practice against these guys.
