NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – Troy baseball's Andrew Crane and Brandon Lockridge were each selected as First Team All-Sun Belt players and Crane was named Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year, the league office announced Monday.
Andrew Crane, a Pascagoula, Miss., native, has pitched in 15 games this season – with seven of those coming as starts – and has a 6-1 record for the Trojans. He currently holds the longest consecutive scoreless inning streak in Troy and Sun Belt history (39.2 IP) and is only 7.1 innings from holding the longest streak in the country since the switch to metal bats in 1975.
