The former Burnley right-back, 26, has impressed on his recent Premier League starts and has now been named in Gareth Southgate’s 25-man squad.
It’s a welcome return to the international picture for the ex-Manchester City youngster, whose last cap for England Under-21s came back in 2011. He’s also previously represented his country at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels.
Kieran, who is the only new face in the squad, is now set to take his battle for the right-back spot with Kyle onto the England stage, the latter retaining his place in the group along with Dele and Eric.
