Sicilian wife 'who saw her husband elbowed in the face by David Buchler is a racist with a vendetta against Jews'

A woman whose husband's nose was broken by the former vice chairman of Tottenham Hotspur in a row in Harrods made racist posts about Jews and Muslims, a court heard today.

Sicilian born Rosaria Birrane was with her husband James when his nose was broken by David Buchler in a New Year's Eve melee at the top store, when Buchler allegedly queue-jumped to pay for two croissants.

Buchler, 64, who ran Spurs in the early 90s and oversaw Sir Alan Sugar's takeover of the north-London club, is accused of punching Mr Birrane, 57, after getting into a dispute with his wife at the till.
