Jose Mourinho's former Spurs and Roma number two Joao Sacramento is set to take on the first permanent managerial role of his career as several European clubs express 'major interest' in the Portuguese coach

Jose Mourinho's former assistant manager at Tottenham and Roma Joao Sacramento has reportedly entered talks to take on the first managerial role of his career.

The 33-year-old coach initially joined forces with Mourinho at Spurs in November 2019 and later followed the decorated manager to the Italian capital last May.

However, in pursuit of a permanent head coach position, Sacramento decided in January to part ways with Mourinho, who has since successfully guided Roma to a first ever European trophy.
