The Belgium international defender, currently in his fifth season as a Spurs player, started out at Ajax in the Netherlands where he appeared over 200 times in all competitions, winning back-to-back Eredivisie titles in 2011 and 2012 and regularly captaining the side. He was also named 2012 Dutch Player of the Year in his final year in Amsterdam.
Arriving at White Hart Lane that summer, Jan was included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year during his first season at the Club and has been an integral member of the side ever since, making 179 appearances for us to date.
