Toronto Raptors sign rookie PG Shannon Scott

The Toronto Raptors have signed point guard Shannon Scott to a partially-guaranteed contract. The undrafted former Ohio State Buckeyes standout will likely receive $25,000 to attend training camp in the fall, since that was the amount allocated to both Michale Kyser and Axel Toupane earlier this summer, according to hoopsrumors.com.

Scott had success playing for the San Antonio Spurs at both the Las Vegas Summer League (LVSM) and the Salt Lake City Summer League, averaging 5.3 points and 2.4 assists over 22.6 minutes per game in nine games. Considering the talent on the Spurs’ roster during both tournaments, Scott’s numbers were actually quite decent.
