The Toronto Raptors’ trade exceptions could net them a quality rotation player

For the first time since 2011, LeBron James will not represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. James has agreed to sign a four-year, $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

With James headed for Los Angeles, the Toronto Raptors may finally be able to break through and advance to the NBA Finals. But first, they need to be ready to battle the other top teams in the east.

The east is clearly the weaker conference at this point in time. With James’ exit the east is wide open.
