Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan shrugs off slow start

To say DeMar DeRozan is truly easing into the coming NBA season is a gross understatement.

He rested for one of the Raptors first five games and hasn’t played more than 26 minutes in the ones in which he appeared.

He hasn’t taken more than 11 shots in any one game, hasn’t made a three-pointer and has tried only five.

His most prolific scoring output was 12 points in the team’s second game and he’s been a fourth quarter observer on each occasion.

It’s all fine with him, it’s all fine with his coach, his teammates aren’t at all concerned because everyone realizes the pre-season drags on far too long and, besides, all the important work comes away from the prying eyes of fans and media.
