James Reimer deserved this opportunity for the years of being gracious under pressure, and never calling out an organization that many would say gave him the shaft on more than one occasion.
The Toronto Maple Leafs continued their spring cleaning as they sent goaltender James Reimer to the San Jose Sharks. The importance of this deal rests more on what it may represent rather than the return the Leafs received.
While most will say that the Maple Leafs came out ahead in the earlier trade with the Sharks that netted two second round picks, few (if any) will be excited about the return on this deal.
