As reported by TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Maple Leafs have signed left-handed shooting defenceman Matt Hunwick to a two-year deal worth $1.2 million per season.
Hunwick, 30, spent last season with the New York Rangers. In 347 career NHL games with the Bruins, Avalanche and Rangers, Hunwick has registered 78 points and 132 penalty minutes.
