Kameron Loe suspended 80 games for positive test

NEW YORK -- Chicago White Sox pitcher Kameron Loe has received an 80-game suspension for a positive test under baseball's minor league drug program.

A nine-year big league veteran, Loe signed with the White Sox on March 3 and is on the roster of Triple-A Charlotte. He tested positive for Dehydrochlormethyltestosterone metabolite and Methasterone, the commissioner's officer said Tuesday.

The 34-year-old, 6-foot-9 right-hander is 34-43 with a 4.49 ERA in 48 starts and 274 relief appearances for Texas (2004-08), Milwaukee (2010-12), and Seattle, the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta (2013). He spent 2014 in Kansas City's minor league system and pitched for Bridgeport in the independent Atlantic League last year.
