DUNEDIN, Fla. — Appearing on a MLB Tonight panel at the Winter Meetings on Dec. 7, four-time major-league all-star third baseman Mike Lowell and Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins talked about a team they played on years back.
And how great it was.
Actually, it was more than great. It was remarkable.
MLB Tonight showed a photo of Lowell, a four-time MLB all-star and 2007 World Series MVP, and Atkins on a south Miami-based youth team together. The serious-looking kid in the front row, centre, is Atkins. Standing behind Atkins is three-time major-league MVP and 14-time all-star Alex Rodriguez.
