Blue Jays' Devon Travis excited to face live pitching

The long, slow recovery of Devon Travis continues at a snail's pace, but the second baseman has progressed to the point where he is closing in on actual game action.

A year ago Saturday, Travis was struck on the collarbone by a hard smash off the bat of Cleveland's Brandon Moss. At first, it was believed that Travis had suffered only a deep bone bruise.

He tried to play through the injury for a couple of weeks, but finally the pain forced him to the disabled list. Six weeks later, he had recovered to the point where he was reinstated to the active roster, but he clearly was still struggling.
