Blue Jays promote Schultz to bolster bullpen

The Blue Jays added reinforcement to their bullpen Friday morning when they recalled right-hander Bo Schultz from Triple-A Buffalo. Schultz took the roster spot that was vacated when Scott Copeland was optioned to Buffalo on Thursday night.

Schultz, 29, has appeared in just four games in the Majors. The Texas native pitched in four games last year for the D-backs, posting an 0-1 record with a 7.88 ERA in eight innings. He was selected on a waiver claim by the Blue Jays in October.
