World Series Game 7: Cubs and Indians Go to Extra Innings, but Rain Pauses Play

Just as the 10th inning was about to start, the tarps came out onto the field as the game is going into a rain delay. While it is not raining particularly hard at the moment, heavier rain is expected. Stay here for updates.

Crew Chief John Hirschbeck was interviewed on the field about the decision to go into a rain delay. He expressed optimism about the game being continued tonight but did not think they should try to play through the heavy rain.

”In this situation we don’t want to take any chances,” Hirschbeck said.
