Every team in the NBA would become significantly better overnight if it added Draymond Green to its roster, which is funny, because they almost all had opportunities to select him in the 2012 NBA Draft. Some teams — like the Celtics and Wizards — even had multiple opportunities to draft Green. They will tell you they had their eyes set on Green much sooner , but it doesn't change the fact that he slipped to the Warriors with the 35th overall pick and responded by becoming a top 15 player in the league.
That's not to say Green was necessarily worthy of a lottery pick coming out of Michigan State.
