Washington Redskins cornerback Will Blackmon thought he was in perfect position for an interception against the New York Giants early in the first quarter Sunday, but the football made it to its intended target.
And yet, Blackmon still somehow wound up with an interception.
On 3rd-and-10 from the New York 6-yard line, Giants quarterback Eli Manning tried to move the chains by throwing to Dwayne Harris. Although Harris was able to get his hands on the pass, the ball popped out when he got crushed by a Washington defender from behind.
Having not given up on the play, Blackmon was able to locate the ball and come up with a diving interception.
