According to ESPN's Field Yates, the New England Patriots claimed running back Trey Williams off of waivers on Tuesday after the Dallas Cowboys waived him on Monday.
Williams, who first signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins before signing with Dallas on Nov. 4, has not recorded a single rushing statistic during his rookie season.
The Patriots seem to be looking for more options in their backfield, as they have not seen the same kind of production out of the position after Dion Lewis went down with a torn ACL.
