Trevor Siemian might be the worst college QB ever to start an NFL game

Trevor Siemian might very well become the worst college quarterback to ever start in the NFL at QB. A rough statistical look over the past 20 seasons shows it’s not too difficult to make the case for awarding Siemian, the Broncos' newly named starter, the crown.

Siemian totaled just 27 passing touchdowns with 24 interceptions during his Northwestern career, and he rushed for -23 yards (including sacks) over four seasons. Those are the basics. Passer rating and completion percentage are not the most accurate metrics for assessing a QB's performance, but given the data that’s readily accessible, we’ll use those as barometers.
