A decent rule of thumb for Sports And The Internet in 2016: If you're sick of hearing about a given topic, just wait it out. Something else will come along.
That doesn't apply to the Colin Kaepernick/national anthem take wildfire, though, which has burned on through the weekend and continues, unabated and ready to swallow entire cities. Part of the reason that's true: It's important at its core. Kaepernick's choice, the rationale behind it and the response to it are provacative and illustrative. It's worth thinking about.
