Just days before the presidential election, a super PAC backing Republican nominee Donald Trump ran an ad against Hillary Clinton that appealed to NFL fans who support the Washington Redskins’ name, according to The Washington Post.
“You thought you were safe.” the ad, run by Rebuilding America Now, says. “Sitting in your recliner in your man cave, cold beer and a bowl of chips. Ha, you thought you’d escaped politics by focusing on football. Wrong. Hillary Clinton wants to mess up your football, too. Hillary wants to change the name of the Redskins.”
