Steve Kerr said Monday he is still "not ready" to return to coach the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
Kerr told reporters he still has not made a final decision on whether he will coach in the championship series against the Cleveland Cavaliers "but as of right now I will not coach Thursday night."
Game 1 of the Finals is Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
"Once we get to Game 1 it might be a good time to make a decision one way or another," he said.
Mike Brown, who has been coaching the Warriors in Kerr's absence, did not address the media on Monday as he is out with the flu.
