Solid showing vs. Ecuador seals Darlington Nagbe as Copa American starter

If Jurgen Klinsmann was hoping to have players show him they are ready for starting roles at the Copa America Centenario, then Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Ecuador accomplished that mission.

The match was a good confidence boost just nine days before the U.S. national team takes on Colombia. Klinsmann watched several fresh faces step up against a tough opponent and state their cases for playing time in the tournament.

Klinsmann is counting on Darlington Nagbe, DeAndre Yedlin and John Brooks to become key players heading toward the 2018 World Cup. All three showed in Wednesday's win they're capable of handling prominent roles.
